Energy Performance Reports

 

We also offer Energy Performance Reports as an option to improve your understanding of the energy performance of your property. Similar to an EPC this option is available to identify ways in which you may reduce both energy costs and your environmental impact. During the course of the assessment we conduct a number of inspections to analyze the state of your energy losses.

We measure the floor area and windows throughout the building to determine the amount of potential energy losses through these interfaces.

We identify existing insulation, i.e. amounts, depth, condition, how well it covers loft floors.

Wall insulation levels will also be determined to the best of the assessors ability.

Typical features that may cause energy loss include air leaks (Drafts), these can be obvious sometimes. Potential sites for air leaks include; gaps along baseboards/edge of flooring, junctures of walls and ceilings. Air can freely move through a number of house hold features, including open fireplaces, door and window frames, letter boxes, loft hatches and other interfaces between your home and the outside environment. After identifying the potential energy loss sites we use a number of processes to eradicate them from the property and make your living/working environment a much more comfortable space to live in.
